S0l Carac0l / Guero @ The Starlet Room - 04.07.23
Our second trip to Harlow’s Nightclub in Sacramento was an absolute blast! We saw S0l Caracol and Guero perform in The Starlet Room - An attached concert hall upstairs from the main venue. S0l’s group is made up of a larger collective of artists called The Angelites - a dope 6 piece group complete with sax and violin! S0l shared some stories about relationships past as well as other relevant life experiences with a mixture of funk, rock, and indie that blew the crowd away! We especially loved and commented on the way each individual artist had away to shine throughout the set. The solo’s were awesome, the beats were infectious, and we are incredibly grateful to have been invited to this event!
The next band, Guero, was no slouch either! They came to the stage with a four piece group complete with acoustic guitar, piano, and a dual vocalist setup. Their indie “skate rock” sound was a really pleasant experience - I really loved how the acoustic guitar helped to shape a more calming space while the piano took over most of the melodic overtones. Combining these elements with rock chord / rhythm structures was a fantastic move as well! This was a night full of cool experiences and great people and we look forward to working with these bands in the future!
