Under a New Sun / Pazifico / Gas Money / Parade Garden @ Earthstock 2023 - 04.22.23

Earthstock 2023!! What an event! This 6 hour, 5 band festival complete with face painting, catered food, and even a “groovy contest” was organized entirely by our good friend Max Cacciatore. Every band was unique and fun in their own way, the food was fantastic, and the venue was super interesting to walk around and check out. Up first was Under a New Sun with an Ozzy Osbourne inspired grunge rock vibe - hearing them cover black Sabbath really made my day! Up Next was the beach rock group Pazifico! I absolutely loved some of their original tracks as well as their “Badfish” cover (Sublime). Up Next was Gas Money - a group of high schoolers who are well on their way to a successful music career! The technical skill of the group was incredible, the covers were tight, the originals were enjoyable, and everyone got a chance to show their colors during this set - we’re very excited to see where this group goes! And finally - The Parade Garden! This 6 piece group was complete with cello and a bassist who can absolutely shred 😂. My favorite parts of this set were the opening jam as well as the “Surf” (Mac Miller) cover. Hearing Max’s rendition of “Surf” live was an inspiration - so much so that Sean decided to learn it on piano the following day! This event was so fun - we met so many cool people and we’re beyond thankful again to Max for organizing and inviting us to Santa Rosa. Here’s to hoping Earthstock 2024 goes off as well as this year’s did - we’ll be there either way 😂.
